One of the most popular choices for relaxed, rustic, and outdoor celebrations. A naked cake lets the sponge speak for itself - layers of buttercream between each tier, with the sides left exposed. A semi-naked cake has buttercream between the layers plus a thin coat applied to the outside, leaving some of the sponge visible - a slightly more polished look while keeping that relaxed, natural feel.
Clean lines and intricate piped detail - fondant cakes are the traditional choice for a reason. Available with a smooth, ruffled, or wrapped finish, I can also incorporate lace effects, pearl borders, sugar flowers, hand-painted designs, or monograms. The size of your cake comes down to two things: your guest count and your day. A single tier suits intimate ceremonies, two tiers work well for mid-size receptions, and three tiers are ideal for larger celebrations. Guest count
Your guest count determines the size and number of tiers you need. A single tier typically serves up to 30 guests, two tiers up to 60, and three tiers 80 or more. I'll help you work out the right size when you get in touch.
Style & finish
Think about the overall feel of your day - relaxed and rustic, classic and elegant, or something bold and personalised. Bring me photos, a Pinterest board, or just describe the vibe and I'll translate it into a design.
Flavours
Each tier can be a different flavour, so you can cater for different tastes across your guests. Order a taster box of cupcakes to try the flavours before you decide - available in boxes of 6 or 12.
Timing
I'd recommend getting in touch at least 3 to 6 months before your wedding, especially for summer dates. The earlier the better - popular weekends book up quickly.
Not every wedding is a church wedding - and not every wedding cake needs to be a towering three-tier centrepiece. Civil ceremonies often have a more intimate feel, and the cake should reflect that. Whether it's a small single-tier for a low-key register office celebration or a statement two-tier for a reception that comes later, I'll design something that fits your day perfectly.

Yes - this is a really popular option. I can create matching cupcakes or personalised iced biscuits to complement your wedding cake, whether as additional dessert portions or as favours for guests to take home. The decoration can be matched to your cake design so everything looks cohesive. Just mention it when you enquire and I'll include it in your quote.
Fondant gives a smooth, flawless finish that's ideal for intricate piped detail, lace effects, and a classic elegant look. Buttercream is softer and more textured - it can be palette-knifed smooth or left with a natural swirl - and has a warmer, slightly more rustic feel. Both can look stunning; it really comes down to the overall aesthetic of your day. I'm happy to talk through which would suit your vision best.
I don't offer pre-wedding viewings of the finished cake as it's made fresh close to the date. However, the taster box process means you'll have already tried and approved the flavours, and I'll share any relevant design work or references during the planning process so you know exactly what to expect. I'll also keep you updated as the cake comes together.
I'm happy to liaise with your venue directly on delivery and setup logistics if that's helpful. If you're having fresh flowers on your cake, I can work with your florist to make sure we're coordinating on timing and flower types.
